Happy Birthday: 5 years of CITT

From a start-up in the Group to an experienced institute with a training provider – for the birthday there was a hybrid surprise party for the entire team

5 years of CITT: The Continental Institute for Technology and Transformation celebrated its 5th anniversary with a hybrid surprise party for the entire team. Launched in January 2019 as a start-up within the Group, the institute has made a name for itself as an experienced training provider with 13 locations in Germany. And the figures also prove the success: To date, around 10,000 participants have acquired new future skills, and over 400 have made it to the IHK-certified vocational qualification with the support of the CITT.

"These are numbers that we as a team can be very proud of! Especially when you consider that behind it are the lives of people who have received a new career perspective with the help of the CITT," says Sebastian Borchers, head of CITT, at the birthday party.

The expertise of the CITT has continued to develop over the years and today lies primarily in the following areas:

  • Qualification in the field of future technologies
  • Leading semi-skilled workers to vocational qualifications
  • Integration of skilled workers from abroad
  • Activation of employees (e.g. via qualification guides)

In order to pass on its diverse experience in the field of transformation, the CITT is involved in various networks, where it advises SMEs, for example, on the implementation of their strategies. "Transforming the world of work and securing skilled workers is a joint task – we at Continental rely on regional partnerships and networks. With our experience in the CITT and committed partners, many things are achievable that are often difficult for individual companies," says Sebastian Borchers.

With this in mind: Happy Birthday CITT – here's to many more successful years!
