Achieve the IHK vocational qualification in 7 modules:
- Basic technical principles (5 months)
- Mechanical machining (4 months)
- Installation of electrical equipment (4 months)
- Building assemblies and components for mechatronic systems (4 months)
- Assembling and disassembling machines, plant and systems (4 months)
- Commissioning and operation of mechatronic systems (4 months)
- Assessment of complex mechatronic systems (3 months)
Target audience
Production workers who have no vocational qualifications or who have not worked in their professional area for at least 4 years and have been away from learning for some time.
Entry requirements
- You are at least 25 years old.
- You do not have a professional qualification or have not worked in your profession for at least 4 years.
- You have basic German and good math skills.
- In addition, you have a basic understanding of technology.
Duration
28 months full-time (37.5 hrs/week) divided into 7 modules (3–5 months each)
Process
- The partial qualification as a mechatronics technician divides the contents of the training course into 7 individual modules.
- Shortening the training period by 1/3 gives you the chance to obtain your vocational qualification within 28 months and receive an IHK certificate after each completed module.
- During the full-time training period (Mon-Fri; 37.5 hrs/week), you will remain in your existing contract of employment and continue to receive your collective agreement wage.
