When Witali G. began his partial qualification in May 2024, he had no idea that the Continental site in Stolzenau would be closing. Thanks to the modular structure of the program, he was able to switch seamlessly between TQ3 and TQ4 to a new employer—and continue his qualification successfully despite the changing circumstances. A real-life demonstration of how adaptable this model is in a labor market that is transforming faster than ever.
From experienced production worker to motivated qualification participant
Witali brings several years of experience in manufacturing. This practical background enabled him to enter the partial qualification program—and his commitment was evident from day one. Trainer Patrick describes him as particularly active, reliable, and a valuable team player:
“Witali shows very high willingness to learn and contribute. He works continuously, engages constructively, and actively supports other participants. From my perspective, he combines technical interest with strong teamwork skills, contributing significantly to the group’s learning success.”
This attitude later proved to be a decisive success factor—especially during his transition to a new employer.
New opportunities through the employer change
By switching to Estorfer Kunststoffbetrieb GmbH, Witali gained several new opportunities at once. He can not only continue his partial qualification without interruption but also take a professional step forward.
A core component of the partial qualification model is its strong practical orientation through company-based internships. Witali is completing his internship at Estorfer Kunststoffbetrieb GmbH and will take up his new position at the company afterwards.
His new role includes more demanding responsibilities—such as guiding colleagues and contributing to improvements in production processes. The change therefore marks both a professional and personal advancement.
Close support—beyond formal roles and across company boundaries
To ensure this transition went smoothly, dedicated individuals were needed who think beyond their official responsibilities. Trainer Patrick supported Witali with orientation sessions and application documents. He proactively reached out to the new employer, visited the company in person, and checked on site whether all requirements for the practical IHK examination were met.
Regional networks as a key to successful transitions
This collaboration illustrates how crucial strong regional networks are for modern qualification pathways: They create security for participants, reduce the burden on companies, and make professional development possible even when life and work circumstances change.
